Melissa Key
As owner of FITT Gym & Personal Training Studio Melissa has a passion for the health and fitness industry. A certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, she is often referred to, endearingly as ‘the evil one’.
Melissa has an extensive background in fitness. She danced competitively for 8 years, is a former sports aerobic competitor, and has been leading group fitness classes since her first year of University. Melissa graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. in psychology, went on to Fanshawe College for a post-graduate diploma in Corporate Communications and Public Relations, and is currently working on her designation as a Certified General Accountant.
Melissa loves working on the business just as much as in it, although the most enjoyable part of her day is helping push her clients closer to their goals.

Gael Valiots
Gael Valiots is a Certified Group Fitness instructor as well as a Certified Personal Trainer since 1992. Gael is also a Registered Massage Therapist, and operates her business, Performance Massage Therapy, out of FITT Gym & Personal Training Studio. She loves the “coaching” aspect of training clients and teaching classes. Famous for her high energy “Hi-Low” class, Gael revolutionized group fitness in Huntsville!
Gael plans to continue to blend her passion for personal training, leading group fitness classes and building her Massage Therapy practice. |

Lisa McLaren
Lisa McLaren is a Certified Older Adult Specialist, Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. She is a former competitive figure skater trained at the Toronto Cricket Club. She holds a PSW Diploma with a speciality in Alzheimer and Dementia Care.
Her passion for working with the older adult population has earned her a special position here at FITT Gym. She strongly believes that you are only as old as you feel, and that a healthy attitude and fitness regime will improve one’s quality of life. Her clients are living proof of this! |

Julie Smith
Julie Smith is a spin instructor who always brings her positive attitude to class. Julie has been a fitness enthusiast for years and continues to broaden her fitness experience through teaching as well as personally running a marathon in Hawaii! Julie plans to evolve her fitness goals and always challenge herself both personally and professionally. |

Bonnie Sadonoja
Banker by day, spin instructor in the early hours of the morning! She is known as the “road runner” and if you ever participate in one of Bonnie’s spin classes you will see why! Bonnie provides her participants with a high energy workout and does it all with a smile on her face. |

Kyra Watters
‘Eighteen years in the health and fitness industry and still loving every minute of it!’ Kyra’s multilayered career has been comprised of managing, directing, teaching, training and coaching, all in the name of improving the lives of others.
As a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and a Registered Nutritionist (RNCP) Kyra has trained and consulted a variety of individuals, from professional bodybuilders to the most sedentary of people. Regardless of the goal, she asks for 100% effort, strong determination and a solid commitment, promising the same in return.
Kyra has encountered numerous life changes within the past year; she has moved to Huntsville from Niagara, became a newly wed, bought a little house in the woods, and started a career of design and marketing. Change is good!

Katie Thom
Katie moved to Muskoka from the U.K. in 2004. She’s since started a family (baby Zachary was born in 2005), and launched her career as a certified Personal Trainer. She has worked with adults with special needs and is a certified Personal Support Worker for older adults. Katie simply loves people, and her cheerful personality is hard to resist!
Before working out in the gym, Katie spent years horseback riding. She enjoyed getting back into shape after having her first baby, and hopes to encourage other new moms to dedicate time to their health and wellness. That said, Katie’s believes in a good balance, and she can be seen enjoying the occasional Cider at The Pub! |
